I just finished another year of coaching t-ball. Caleb was an absolute stud on the field, and it was clear that watching his brother helped him grow into a great t-ball player. As a team we improved as well. The boys learned how to be better hitters, how to scoop the ball with the glove, and some of them even found first base! (It was a miracle, trust me.)

This month I did something I had only dreamed of: I spent the weekend with Superman. It was amazing. I saw things that I thought would have been impossible, things that no mere mortal could have accomplished, things that gave me hope in something bigger.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be on the same team -- about how in my marriage one of the most important things I can do is to partner with my wife and make sure that we are both in this together. In the Bible, they talk about meeting together and spurring one another on towards good deeds.
