Want to Get More Stuff Done? Put Down Your To-Do List
I’m convinced that a to-do list is a tool of the devil. I mean, think about it. Have you ever noticed how they just keep growing? And eventually, you run out of the room so you have to start another one? And soon you have a to-do list of to-do lists. I don’t know about you, but sometimes my to-do list feels like I’m watching the creek rise. It gets higher and higher, and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
Proactive Time vs Reactive Time: A Lesson on Productivity
I like to get stuff done.
I wouldn’t call myself a workaholic, but I would say that I’m driven and certainly passionate. I often describe myself as intense. It’s just who I am, it’s not good, it’s not bad, but a reality that I face every time I look in the mirror.
Happy Birthday to ME... I'm Giving Up the Snooze Button for a Year
My birthday is this week, and on Sunday when I turn 37 years young I will again prepare for another trip around the Sun. She Defined Radical Hospitality
We knew it was coming. She declined treatment on the mass that didn’t belong in her body and she had long decided that she was going to go out on her own terms. At 88 years young she earned the right to call her own shot.
Communication Lessons from First-Grade Football
Have you ever seen first-grade football? When they put those helmets on for the first time it is sort of like watching a bunch of bobblehead characters run up and down the field.
Five Practical Questions I have for #NextMethodism
The Methodist denomination is on the verge of some major shakeups. It’s hard to say for sure what that will look like, or how it will all play out, but if you do a search for the #nextmethodism you’ll see a barrage of articles about what the future of the church may, or may not look like.
Do You Want to Get Better at Change?
Change is all around us, and whether you agree with the changes swirling around you or not, one thing we all can agree on- change is hard.
